Delete your VIXIP account
Last updated 30 October 2026. This page is a working draft pending legal review.
Who this page is for
This page explains how to have your account in the VIXIP Core app (and the VIXIP web apps at vixip.host) deleted, and what happens to your data. It applies to accounts published by VIXIP LTD, 7 Bell Yard, London, England, WC2A 2JR.
How to request deletion
VIXIP accounts are created by your organisation's administrator, so there are two ways to ask:
- Ask your organisation's administrator. In VIXIP Core they open Core → People, open your account and choose Suspend, which blocks sign-in at once. They can then ask VIXIP to erase the account.
- Email VIXIP directly at info@vixip.co.uk from the email address on your account, with the subject "VIXIP account deletion request" and the name of your organisation. We confirm the request with your organisation's administrator before acting, because they are the controller of the records held about you.
Deletion is free. We acknowledge every request within 5 working days and complete it within 30 days.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in: email address, password, multi-factor authentication secrets, trusted devices and active sessions are removed and you can no longer sign in from any device.
- Your profile: name, work email, phone number, language preference and app permissions.
- Photos, messages and notes you created in the apps that are not part of a business record your organisation must keep.
What is kept, and for how long
Your organisation is required to keep some business records that mention you. These are kept by your organisation, not for VIXIP's own use, and are held for as long as the law requires:
- Attendance, rota, leave and pay records needed for payroll and working-time law: kept by your employer for up to 6 years after the tax year they relate to.
- Right-to-work evidence: kept until 2 years after your employment ends, then destroyed automatically.
- Audit entries that show who changed a business record (for example, who booked in a pallet or approved a shift): the entry is kept with that record so your organisation can show who did what, and the only personal detail it holds is your name.
- Backups: routine backups are kept for up to 30 days and then deleted, so erased data leaves them within 30 days.
Deleting the app only
Uninstalling VIXIP Core from your phone removes the app and anything cached on the device, but does not delete your account. Use one of the steps above if you also want the account removed.
